How Liquid Desiccant Works

Liquid desiccant systems spray or flow a hygroscopic liquid over structured packing material in the airstream. Moisture is absorbed directly into the liquid.

The diluted solution is regenerated using low-grade heat — restoring absorptive capacity.

Unlike rotary wheel systems, liquid desiccant offers continuous moisture removal with no moving parts in the absorption section — and can be simultaneously cooled to handle sensible load.

When Liquid Desiccant Is the Right Choice

Liquid desiccant is well-suited for food processing and cold storage where both humidity and temperature must be controlled simultaneously.

Also the preferred choice for pharmaceutical applications requiring very precise humidity control, and for large-scale environments where continuous, gentle absorption is advantageous.
